Gigabyte has introduced four motherboards on the AMD FX40 chipset, which are designed for the new Ryzen Threadripper 3000-series processors. As previously reported, three new items belong to the gaming series Asus, and another refers To the designare boards for working systems. Among themselves, the boards differ in equipment, positioning and, accordingly, price.

The TRX 40 Taurus Xtreme, TRX 40 Aorus Master and TRX 40 Designare motherboards feature powerful 16+3 phase power subsystems and a pair of 8-pin EPS connectors. In turn, the model TRX 40 Rus Pro WIFI has 12 + 2 power phases with 4 and 8-pin power connectors.

Each of the new products received eight slots FOR ddr4 memory modules with a frequency of up to 4400 MHz (overclocking). Also, each Board has four PCI Express 4.0 x16 slots, and all models except the older TRX 40 Taurus Xtreme have one PCI Express 4.0 x1. Network interfaces deserve special attention. The older TRX 40 Aorus Xtreme is equipped with a 10-Gigabit Intel interface with two ports. Model TRX 40 Aorus Master received 5-Gigabit Aquantia and 1-Gigabit controller Intel. And the younger TRX 40 Aorus Pro WIFI received only 1-Gigabit network controller Intel. But the TRX 40 Designare Board received a pair of 10-Gigabit Intel interfaces. In addition, each of the new products is equipped with high-speed wireless module Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200.

The cost of Gigabyte motherboards on the TX 40 chipset is not specified yet, but it will obviously be quite big. Sales will begin on November 25.
